26.6.2013 Mikko Pajunen and Janne Perälä in the Ypres ERC Rally Belgium with Ford Fiesta S2000
Pajunen is racing again with the Ukrainian AT-rally Team´s Ford Fiesta S2000 in Belgium. His co-driver will be a familiar guy, Janne Perälä. Mikko and Janne haven´t been racing since British Campionships in 2010 together. And Pajunen has had his last asphalt rally in Italy on October 2012
- It´s so great to get back to race again after a break. Car is absolutely fine, but of course it needs me to get used to it. Luckily we had a chance to test a little bit for the car, so I have somekind feeling to the car. And I have 300km time to learn the tricks, says Pajunen.
Recce started on Wednesday and it will continue until the shakedown in Thursday evening. Rally will last two days, Friday and Saturday and it has 20 SS. All the stage kilometers will be driven on asphalt.
- Roads has a lot of challeges to me, because I haven´t been driving roads like this before, where it needs to cut so deep, so it´s new for me
After all, I don´t believe that I´m any more in a rusty than my co-driver Janne who has returned from an early retirement pension back to the cabin. I hope we´ll get rid of all the rusty from both of us in the shakedow, says smiling Pajunen
